OBRASCÓN HUARTE LAÍN, S.A. (“OHLA” or the “Company”), pursuant to the provisions of Article 226 of Law 6/2023, of 17 March, on Securities Markets and Investment Services, hereby notifies the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (“CNMV”) of the following

INSIDE INFORMATION 

The Company hereby announces that, in the judicial proceedings conducted in Qatar against the subcontractor companies Kentz Qatar LLC (“Kentz”) and Voltas Qatar LLC (“Voltas”), as disclosed in the annual accounts and the interim financial statements, the Qatar Court of Cassation has issued its final judgment in respect of the cassation appeals filed by the Joint Venture (“JV”) comprising Contrack Cyprus Ltd. (45%) and OHLA (55%), as well as by Kentz and Voltas. In its ruling, the Court dismissed the appeals filed by all parties, thereby upholding as final and binding the judgment rendered by the Qatar Court of Appeal, pursuant to which the members of the JV were held jointly and severally liable for payment to the subcontractor companies referred to above. The portion of the joint and several liability attributable to OHLA’s 55% interest amounts to QAR 111,993,735 (EUR 26.4 million). OHLA will avail itself of all legal remedies available under applicable law to safeguard its legitimate interests in relation to the judgment.
