The Municipal Stadium of Białystok (Poland), built by OHLA, is a sports infrastructure with a usable area of more than 24,000 m², complemented by an additional 440,000 m² dedicated to auxiliary uses such as conference rooms, catering services, and business areas. It has a capacity of 22,500 spectators and features a 105 x 68-meter pitch with heated natural grass, located on the same site where the former municipal stadium was inaugurated in 1972.
The project stands out for its functional design and versatility, integrating spaces for multiple uses that extend its activity beyond sports. Its concept allows for the combination of sporting events with corporate and social activities, reinforcing its role as a key infrastructure for the city. The development was carried out while respecting the stadium’s original location, modernizing its facilities and adapting them to current standards.
From a technical standpoint, the project is notable for its spatial lattice structure, involving 24,000 m³ of concrete, 2,400 tonnes of reinforcement, and 4,600 tonnes of steel structure in the roof, with a maximum height of 28.4 meters. For the quality of its execution, the project was awarded the Glass Brick Award for Best Sports Infrastructure, consolidating its relevance in the international construction sector.
