The project included the design and execution of the infrastructure works, as well as track installation, electrification, signaling, and telecommunications systems. Among the main works carried out were the construction of four viaducts, 22 bridges, and a tunnel of approximately 500 meters in length, highlighting the technical complexity of the project.

In commercial operation since 2009, the line has enabled a significant reduction in travel time between the country’s political and economic capitals, decreasing the journey from three hours to just 80 minutes.
