Project description

OHL has carried out in Empalme, Sonora State, Mexico, the construction of combined-cycle power plant for the generation of electricity, with a guaranteed net capacity of more than 770 MW. The project has covered different phases -design, engineering, supply of equipment and materials, construction, installation and testing, to which the commissioning and technical support have been added.

The completion of this project, of the latest technology, makes it one of the most efficient in the CFE fleet. The plant will allow to produce energy in a more efficient and less polluting way, improving the standard of living of the neighbouring communities and, in general, of the northwest of the Mexican Republic..
